About Weather Icons v6
This is the 6th version of static weather icons released by MetGraphics, and the 10th set of weather icons of any type that I’ve released. This package was worked on for three months, and more icons will be released in updates to this package as requests come in.
Weather Icons v6 features a generally less-busy style, as some previous design styles can often be seen as too cluttered or overly stylized. These icons still ended up having hundreds and hundreds of layers, but the layering style was less harsh and softer on the eyes.
I didn’t want to leave any icon with just one variation, in order to attend to different appreciations of style. For example, there’s 65 different thunderstorm icons, 22 rain icons, 28 snow icons, and so on. This yields a current* total of 150 weather icons included in this pack, the largest yet by MetGraphics.
Included with this set aside from typical rain, snow, thunder, and sun variant icons are some night time backgrounds. This includes a handful of dark sky with and without stars, as well as some moons with different phase shading.
Each icon is designed on a canvas that is a crisp 1416×1416 pixels in dimension, with 300 DPI.
Included in the current live version of Weather Icons v6:
- 150 PNG icons
- 2 Photoshop documents
Additionally, this set of weather icons includes the first new forecast template of 2019 by MetGraphics, T53: ‘Glass’, as a free bonus when you purchase this new set of weather icons.
T53: ‘Glass’ was designed alongside Weather Icons v6, and both of which work brilliantly together.
